Before Gift Card Hero existed, our founders ran a software company that built gift card and loyalty tools for Magento merchants. We did that for years. We learned what merchants actually need, where SaaS products fail them, and why most commerce software is overengineered complexity hiding behind a pricing page.
When Shopify took over the world, we made a deliberate choice: shut it down, take everything we knew, and rebuild for the platform that actually deserved it. No porting legacy code. No compromise. Just a clean product, designed specifically for the way Shopify merchants work in 2026.
Today we operate out of Paphos, Cyprus - a sun-drenched city on the Mediterranean that has quietly become one of Europe's most interesting tech hubs. Small team, zero outside funding, and a single obsession: making the best gift card and loyalty software on Shopify.
