When a customer returns an item in store, issue the refund as a gift card instead of cash. The money stays in your store and the customer comes back to spend it, online or at POS: it is a native Shopify gift card. Part of Gift Card Hero PRO.

Staff choose the gift card option on the Gift Card Hero refund screen. The customer gets a gift card for the refund amount, usable online and in store right away.
Optional expiry date
Set an expiry date on the refund card, or leave it without one.
Email with code and balance
The customer receives the gift card by email, with its code and balance, in your branded template.
POS activity log
Every gift card action taken at POS in one place: search, filter by action and date, export to CSV.
Visible in the customer account
Customers see their gift cards and balances on the My Gift Cards page in their Shopify account.

It is a native Shopify gift card created for the refund amount. It works everywhere Shopify gift cards work: online checkout and Shopify POS. There is no separate store credit system to manage.
