Gift Card Hero and Editly: let holiday shoppers fix their own orders
Editly lets customers fix their own orders after checkout. Gift Card Hero handles the gift card side: recipient, send date and resends. Together they cover the questions that fill the support inbox in December.

Syncube, the team behind Gift Card Hero, is partnering with WebContrive, the developer of Editly: Order Editing. Both apps work on the same moment: the minutes and hours after checkout, when a shopper notices that something in the order is wrong. In the holiday season that moment turns into a queue of support emails. Here is what each app does and how they fit together.
What does Editly do?
Editly is a self-serve order editing app. After checkout, customers change their own order from the Thank You page or the Order Status page, without writing to support:
- edit the shipping address or change the shipping method;
- swap a variant, adjust a quantity, or add and remove items;
- cancel the order, with cancellation reasons you define.
You decide which changes are allowed and for how long after purchase, and you can limit edits by customer tag. Shipping, taxes and discounts are recalculated on every edit, every change is logged, and edits can trigger Klaviyo and Shopify Flow.
What does Gift Card Hero add for gift card orders?
Gift card orders have mistakes of their own: a typo in the recipient's email, the wrong send date, a gift email the recipient can't find. Gift Card Hero covers them on the gift card side:
- At purchase, the buyer adds the recipient's email, a personal message and the date the card should arrive.
- Before the card goes out, your team can change the recipient's email or the delivery date of a scheduled card from the Queue Report in Gift Card Hero (how it works).
- After delivery, a buyer or recipient who can't find the email can see their cards and resend it from the gift cards page in their Shopify customer account (setup).
Gift Card Hero cards are native Shopify gift cards, so the same code works at online checkout and in Shopify POS.
How do Editly and Gift Card Hero work together?
Editly takes the order-level fixes off your support inbox, and Gift Card Hero takes the gift-card-level ones. A typical December case: a shopper buys a sweater and an eGift card for a friend, then notices the wrong size and a typo in the friend's email. The shopper swaps the size in Editly from the Order Status page, and your team corrects the email in Gift Card Hero before the card is sent.

Frequently asked questions
Do Editly and Gift Card Hero integrate with each other?
They don't exchange data, and they don't need to. Both work on the same Shopify orders: Editly changes the order itself, and Gift Card Hero issues and delivers the gift cards in it. You can install either app on its own or both together.
Can the recipient's email be changed after a gift card order?
Yes, in Gift Card Hero. Your team opens the Queue Report, clicks the card's email and changes the recipient's address or the delivery date, or removes the card from the queue. After delivery, the buyer or the recipient can resend the gift card email from their customer account.
